We are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team.
This role is responsible for managing and coordinating the operations of custom clearance, container drayage, unloading at the dock.
Additionally, the Logistics Coordinator will communicate with ocean freight forwarders to assist with the custom clearance of containers.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key
Responsibilities:
Manage the drayage, hauling, and unloading of containers at the docks.
Coordinate with shipping companies, dock staff, and warehouse personnel to ensure timely and safe transportation of goods.
Communicate with ocean freight forwarders to assist with the customs clearance of containers.
Monitor the transportation process and handle any issues or delays that may arise.
Maintain and update logistics records, ensuring all data is accurate.
Analyze logistics operations and propose improvements to optimize efficiency.
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in logistics or a related field.
Knowledgeable about logistics and supply chain management processes.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in computer operations, including logistics management software.
