Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, deliver and/or serve items weighing up to 20-40 pounds throughout an eight-hour shift Ability to balance serving tray when transferring for food order Ability to stand and walk continually throughout an eight-hour shift Ability to bend, stoop and reach for products and items Ability to work to various temperature environment, for example low temperature in the refrigerator and high temperature in the cooking area Ability to work in loud areas, for example, the music for special performance and/or loud noise from the dishwasher machine Visual acuity to see restaurant menus, take customer orders, review customer bills and smoothly navigate dining room, kitchen and other facility areas Ability to attend work as scheduled, working various schedules and shifts throughout normal business hours Education /
Qualifications:
California Food Handler Certificate Previous server experience is preferred Fluent in English / Preferred languages:
Mandarin and Spanish
Responsibilities:
Ensure that all guests are greeted in a timely, friendly, and professional manner Ensure the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided and anticipate guest's needs prior to them asking Maintain in-depth menu knowledge to answer questions and make order suggestions and ensure customers are able to navigate the menu system Deliver food, beverages, condiments and other as requested by customers Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen Provide relevant and exceptional service to customers to ensure their satisfaction Be a team player, assisting co-workers whenever needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
Prepares customers checks and collects payments.
Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
