We are currently seeking General Assemblers or Packers for a hardware manufacturing company with a large inventory of simple to customized beautiful doorknobs.

1st shift starts at 5am/6am, Monday-Saturday plus over time.
Pay rate:
$18
DOE.
The assembler is responsible for a sequence of operations to correctly assemble door lock mechanisms.
The assembler must be able to use a variety of hand tools -- e.
g.
, pliers, air drill, fixtures, etc.
The assembler also has the following requirements:
Must follow instructions and test equipment to assure quality.
Responsible for meeting assembly hourly production quota.
Attention to detail, to assure quality assurance at a timely manner.
Able to lift to 50 lbs.
for assembly; materials need to be transported (using a cart) from one area to another with a tray weighing between 10-50 lbs.
Instructions:
An assembler is to follow FIFO guidelines when proceeding to their next order.
Read and understand the order correctly and start the assembly process (Top to bottom).
Product is to be assembled in pairs.
Start with the external assembly process.
Place Knob/lever on worktable Attach plastic washers.
Add grease.
Place shims, plates, and springs.
(Depending on requested item) Test handle to ensure proper mechanism function.
(Verify that installation is not too tight nor too loose) Team lead can assist trainee with an accurate feel of a correct tightness) Add springs/spindles to the handle (make needed adjustments as needed) Proceed with assembling the inside component (Repeat 1-10 instruction Trainee must complete Hour by hour sheet, with dates, times, and discrepancies through the process.
(This is to see how many locks the trainee completed in that hour, includes, trainee stepped going away from the dept.
) Packer The Packer is responsible for production and/ or packaging a range of manufactured products (boxes can weigh up to 50lbs).
Products can weigh anywhere between 5-35 lbs.
before placing in packages.
The Packer is a supportive role to several area of companies manufacturing departments.
The Packer also has the following requirements:
Responsible for assembling boxes, labeling, and tracking packed productions Attention to detail to assure that packaging is not being sent with tears, cracks, or dents Attention to detail to assure that items in boxes are packaged correctly in accordance of the items' specific fragility Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling, and sorting Responsible for filling out forms and papers to record measurements of weight and production count.
Requirements:
High School Diploma preferred.

years of Warehouse or manufacturing experience Ability to pass E-Verify, background and drug test.
Must have a resume for interview consideration.
Must have great attention to detail.
Ability to stand for long hours, sit, kneel, pull/push and lift up to 40 lbs.
